SAVANNAH, GEORGIA – Picker Joe’s, Savannah’s most award winning antique mall, is excited to announce its upcoming move to a new home at 66 W. Montgomery Cross Road in Savannah. After more than a decade at its original location, the beloved antique mall is preparing for its next chapter—bringing the same spirit of discovery and nostalgia our customers have come to know and love to a larger expanded facility that’s more parking friendly.
The current location closed its doors on Wednesday, April 30. Picker Joe’s will reopen at the new location in late Summer 2025, after some extensive upgrades.
“For over 10 years, Picker Joe’s has been more than just a store—it’s been a community,” said owner James Plumlee, a Savannah local and lifelong aviator. “We’re excited to continue growing and to offer our customers an even better experience in a space that gives us room to expand and evolve.”
Plumlee founded Picker Joe’s in 2013, naming it after his family Jack Russell terrier, Joey.
What started as a hobby selling vintage aviation items at a local antique store has grown into one of Georgia’s most well-known antique destinations—celebrated for its wide-ranging finds, friendly atmosphere, and one-of-a-kind treasures.
Picker Joe’s is also home to Sky Pickers, a rapid-response prop location team supporting the film & television industry.
When productions need unique props in a hurry, Sky Pickers takes to the skies—literally. Owner James Plumlee flies his twin-engine Aero Commander 500B to help deliver hard-to-find pieces when time is of the essence. Learn more at skypickers.com.
Christopher Shomo, a SCAD graduate and award-winning designer, has been with Picker Joe’s since it opened in 2015.
With degrees in Architecture and Computer Art, and years of experience supporting local businesses, Chris leads the store’s visual direction—capturing the spirit of Picker Joe’s through photography, video, web design, and social media.

The new location will continue to showcase antiques, vintage furniture, architectural salvage, art, oddities, and unexpected gems—everything that has made Picker Joe’s a must-visit destination for locals and travelers alike.
